Addison Drive-In Kicks Off July 17th

Addison is known as the place to gather and celebrate with great music, food and fun. The town’s Special Events team has worked to create ways to safely allow guests to congregate and enjoy live music, and thus has launched Addison Weekend Drive-In presented by Oncor, two weekends of live music offered to patrons in a drive-in environment. The concerts replace Addison After Dark, a more hands-on interactive entertainment series which the town had been offering monthly.

On two weekends, July 17-18 and August 14-15, fans can listen to live music from a diverse collection of popular DFW bands.  Attendees will be able to enjoy the shows from the comfort of their vehicles, or bring lawn chairs to sit next to a car.  Music will be transmitted via both speaker system and FM radio, providing excellent audio quality throughout the park.

Concerts will be from 8:30 – 10 p.m., and include the following bands:

July 17:                                 All Funk Radio Show  (old school R&B, Motown, funk, pop)

July 18:                                 D City Rock  (classic rock)

August 14:                            Extended PLAY (top 40)

August 15:                            Joseph Veazie (pop, R&B, top 40)

“We are excited to invite our guests back to the Addison Circle Park District for live entertainment,” explained Addison Director of Special Events Jasmine Lee. “Our team has worked to create a fun and safe way to enjoy live music here in North Texas, and using the vacant lot south of Addison Circle Park provides the perfect location.”

Parking for the concerts will open at 7:30 p.m. nightly, and cars will be directed to safe distances. Guests are asked to remain in or near their car during the entire performance. Parking at Addison Weekend Drive-In is limited. Information on the performances can be found at

Addison After Dark is planned to return in April 2021.
