There are some fantastic chocolatiers in the DFW area. Certainly much praise has gone towards Dude, Sweet in Bishop Arts, as well as the many others we have reported on in the past year. Last week we had a chance to step up north for a unique and fun chocolate shop called Sublime Chocolate Bar.
Sublime is owned by Troy and Bliss Easton who run their shop located in Allen’s Watters Creek. Troy started his career by attending law school and funding his education by working in the food industry. It seems many people who start out in law end up owning a food related business. Look at Veritas, Deep Ellum Brewery, or Peticolas Brewing Company to name a few.
The very tiny shop does a brisk business and keeps everything fresh. In addition to the many varieties of chocolate, they also serve up several versions of their hot drinking chocolate that shouldn’t be missed.
