Wilcox Cooks For JBF Award Dinner

by Steven Doyle

Last night we were inundated with news from New York and the 2012 James Beard Foundation Awards. There was only one chef cooking for the gala from Texas and it was our own top chef Tre Wilcox from Marquee Grill. Tre was at the Chef for Farmers event all day Sunday , then hopped a plane bound for New York in time to start cooking for that event.

Another name you might recognize at the gala is chef Susan Spicer who owns Bayona in New Orleans, She is of course sister to FM 1410 owner Tom Spicer in  Big D. Spicer’s restaurant is located in the French Quarter and is a past JBF winner.
