Independence Day is upon us and we plan to celebrate in grand fashion, which means the staff can sleep in tomorrow, hit the lake and hopefully work on that much needed tan. In the mean time we will all no doubt be celebrating tonight to get a head start on the party and fireworks. Addison’s Kaboom Town provides one of the most spectacular shows in the area, and is ranked one of the top in the nation.
We give all the fun details about the choreographed music and band stands set up in Addison, but we also wanted to share with you today some of the best views to watch the airshow and fireworks. You will want to head out early and stake your claim to a sweet spot. If you are off work early today you can beat the rush to some of these locations which we selected as the very best.
Best elegant view – Chamberlains Fish Market Grill Richard Chamberlain will be out in full force but not at his beefy steakhouse. Instead he will be in the midst of the hoopla at his fish market and is offering a $49 four course dinner for the fortunate that are able to make it in the restaurant tonight. Great view is just a bonus prize.
Best outdoor party – Blackfinn American Saloon Blackfinn has a terrific patio and will no doubt be the best party for those looking to get a jumpstart on their tans and hang with the beautiful people.
Best family friendly party – Cantina Laredo It’s not all about doing shots and dousing each other with beer. The family set will want more a friendly environment, and Cantina Laredo always offers a safe haven for the young ones and soccer mom set. The added bonus is that they offer free activities along with some great mole and a splendid view.
Best new party – Hotel Intercontinental pool party The Intercontinental recently remodeled their rooms (ask for the two-floor executive suite which has an amazing dining room of its very own) and has a terrific fenced in pool area that is large and in charge this July Fourth. The hotel invites you to join the party and check out what’s new. Great view.
Wildest bash – McFaddens This is the newest wild party depot on Belt Line. And we mean wild. We think they incent employees to be extra insane and it shows. Great view of both fireworks and hot bods to view for both men and women.
Most ironic party –Lion and Crown If celebrating the independence of our nation with the other side of the pond makes you giggle, you will want to check out the view from Addison Circle, just off the round-a-bout, and order a few pints. Just don’t slander the queen, they are partial to their royalty. This is an ideal spot for the pyro in you.
The Quarter Bar & Grill was a fantastic spot to watch the fireworks. Great view of the air show, and add that to the covered patio with misters and the synced music, it was perfect.
