6th Street Bar And Grill Opening In September

by Steven Doyle

New bar and grill alert for those living in uptown Dallas. Soon the weight of half pound cheeseburgers will send the uptown properties into a spiraling sinkhole as the bars nearly outnumber the residents. It’s all good, we enjoy the vast selection and know that the cream always rises to the top in a survival of the fittest sort of way.

The new restaurant is called 6th Street Bar and Grill and is located at 3005 Routh Street in the former Manhattan Pizza location.

Look for the 6th Street to open within the next 10 days or less and the chef will be Eric Springer, who will be performing double duty with the owner’s other restaurant located in Bishop Arts in Oak Cliff, 303 Bar and Grill.

We spotted a menu and there will be plenty of kicked up bar fare such as burgers and and jumbo Buffalo wings. The Philly Cheese Steak Eggrolls sounded interesting as did the Chipotle BBQ Shrimp Tacos. Calamari Fries will be served and are fry-length logs of calamari steak doused in white truffle parmesan aioli.

Flatbreads and sandwiches are also a large part of the menu. Look for brunch to be served almost immediately.

As to why the place will be called 6th Street Bar and Grill? It sounded cool.
