Several years in the making, chef matt McCallister is finally ready to make his solo restaurant debut. We received the press release earlier today which detailed the opening which is October 13, 2012. For a good look at McCallister’s background, check out an interview I did for the Observer several years ago. It seems like an eternity ago.
Here is what was sent out today, we can only guess what will be on the menu:
FT33 1617 Hi Line Drive, Dallas 214.741.2629
Opening on Saturday, October 13, FT33, located in Dallas’ Design District, offers seasonally driven cuisine infused with the latest Texas-sourced ingredients, an extensive wine list, craft beer program, and inspired cocktail list. McCallister and the culinary team, including Pastry Chef Joshua Valentine, will introduce diners to unorthodox pairings and innovative modern cuisine. The menu will change with the seasons to highlight fresh garden bounty and McCallister’s vision for the season.
The 80-seat restaurant space conceptualized by architect and designer Craig Beneke of Architecture and Fabrication and designer Hatsumi Kuzuu of Kuzuu Design, brings together rustic and industrial architecture styles throughout the restaurant’s bar area, main dining room, and patio.
FT33 opens on Saturday, October 13, 2012. Hours are Tuesday – Thursday, 4:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m and Friday and Saturday, 4:30 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.
