Adding to a diverse roster of international restaurants, Village on the Green, the North Dallas mixed-use lifestyle shopping center adjacent to Galleria Dallas, is pleased to announce the opening of La Perla d’Italia.
La Perla d’Italia offers authentic Italian cuisine from Maurizio Primo, a veteran restaurateur and native of Naples, Italy. In addition, La Perla employs a world-famous Italian cheesemaker, Antonio Pugliesi, who makes fresh cheeses daily.
While dining, guests can view the production of Mozzarella di Bufala, smoked Provola, dry aged Scamorza, creamy Burrata and Stracciatella in a glass-enclosed area in the dining room. The mozzarella is made from fresh water buffalo curd imported directly from Agropoli-Paestum, Italy. The fresh cheeses can be enjoyed onsite in several dishes or purchased to go.
The menu features a selection of starters that include fried calamari, Bufala Caprese salad, and classic meatball with fresh ricotta as well as broccoli rabe and sausage. Pasta dishes include spaghetti meatball, linguine frutti di mare with mussels, clams, calamari and shrimp, fettuccine Bolognese, penne Siciliana with eggplant and mozzarella, and gnocchi alla Sorrentina with tomatoes and mozzarella. Signature dishes range from veal scaloppini topped with sautéed onions, mushrooms and demi-glaze and shrimp scampi with garlic butter sauce over linguine to pollo al limone with capers, white wine and lemon sauce. Desserts are made in-house daily.
