After raising more than $30,000 for local rescue groups in its first two years, Kibble & Cocktails is back. On Tuesday, April 29 from 7 to 10 p.m. attendees will gather at this fundraiser held at 3015 at Trinity Groves in Dallas. Tickets are $100 per person and can be purchased at the website.
Hosted by Barking Hound Village, Kibble & Cocktails brings together the best-of-the-best in food and entertainment allowing guests to mix and mingle while raising money for their four-legged friends. This year’s monies will benefit the Voices of Justice program at DFW Rescue Me. Named after a four-month-old pit bull puppy who suffered tremendous abuse, Voices of Justice educates children with classroom presentations and take-home materials to learn about the proper treatment of animals in an effort to prevent future abuse.
“Barking Hound Village has an ongoing relationship with DFW Rescue Me wherein we host two dogs at a time at our facility until they can be adopted,” said event host and Barking Hound Village owner Lisa Jones. “We chose to focus this year’s Kibble & Cocktails around the Voices of Justice program because of the great work it does in educating future generations about how to treat animals properly and with compassion.”
Kibble and Cocktails is emceed by Jenna Owens, co-host of Kidd Kraddick in the Morning (106.1 FM), and includes live music, as well as delicious food options from Sharon Van Meter of 3015 at Trinity Groves, Nick and Sam’s, Steel, Nonna, Chino Chinatown, Resto Gastro Bistro, Amberjax, Zoli’s NY Pizza and Dreadhead Chef. Additionally, guests can enjoy signature cocktails sponsored by Milagro Tequila, Reyka Vodka and Monkey Shoulder Whisky, as well as wines by Bottled Poetry Wines.
During the evening’s festivities guests can check out the latest “pet friendly” vehicles from Park Place Volvo. A raffle and live auction with prizes from local artists and establishments such as FortyFiveTen, Katy Trail Animal Hospital, Thank Dog Photography, Sunless Diva, Campuzano, Mariano’s, L. Bartlett, Jamie Rice Artwork, Southwest Airlines, The Joule, Lucky Dog Barkery, Dallas Cowboys, Savora, Blue Print Store, Billi Bonze Bathhouse will also be conducted during the event.
During the evening you will have a chance to adopt a lovely pup of your very own.
