Dallas’s spirited, downhome and soulful food event Chefs For Famers launches its 2014-2015 event season with a kick-off family-style dinner that features three Dallas chefs of the moment, the city’s top BBQ ace, and the most celebrated pastry chef in the state for a family-style meal that could only happen in Dallas.
On Sunday August 17th at 6pm, Chefs For Farmers returns in style, making Deep Ellum’s Hickory Street Annex (501 S. 2nd Ave #200) the site of a family-style dinner where guests will actually sit and eat with the chefs. “At the heart of Chefs For Farmers is the desire to showcase the collaborative spirit of the Dallas producer and restaurant community,” says co-founder Iris McCallister. “So we thought that a family style meal would be the ultimate way to celebrate for our first event of the season.”
Chefs Matt McCallister, John Tesar, Graham Dodds, Justin Fourton and Philip Speer will each prepare a dish, and Chefs For Farmers partner wineries will provide wines. The ticket price of $95 is inclusive of food, wine, and gratuity. A portion of proceeds will benefit Café Momentum. Purchase tickets at this site.
For those that missed out on a seat, Iris McCallister tells us that there will be a CFF oyster bash very soon hosted by Michael Martensen.
