Some very sad news hit our desks today. The much celebrated Afghan Grill is closing so that the owners might concentrate on their Lower Greenville restaurant, Nora. The happy part of the news is that Nora will now be open for lunch. Since opening, Nora is one of our very favorite restaurants in Dallas. Read below for their release sent this afternoon.
With much careful thought and consideration, Matt Pikar has decided to close Afghan Grill and focus all of his time and energy at Nora Restaurant & Bar. The lease was going to be up in a few months and he has decided to close a little earlier. He wants to thank everyone who supported and dined at Afghan Grill during the past 6 years.
Starting this Friday, September 12th, Nora Restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner 6 days a week. (Excluding Mondays.) Lunch will be served from 11am to 2:30pm and dinner from 5pm to 10pm. We will continue to offer happy hour from 5-7pm on our rooftop, front patio or main bar and look forward to a wonderful fall season of people hanging out by our rooftop fire pit.
That’s too bad! It was on my list of restaurants to go to!
