Casie Caldwell, Kitchen LTO creator, announces that chef Blythe Beck has won the position of executive chef and Salma Gottfriend has won the artist position for Kitchen LTO’s 4th round concept. This next round restaurant will open for dinner service on Thursday, October 2nd with lunch service being added the following day and Saturday/Sunday brunch service starting that weekend.

With an engaging wit, earthy zest, and cayenne-red hair, chef Blythe Beck is passionate about creating dishes with tastes and textures that not only please the eye and the palate, but the soul. Beck, who is planning for an upscale southern menu, says, “ I am honored and thankful to be chosen as the next chef at Kitchen LTO and appreciate all who voted for me. I have missed Dallas so much and am excited to be coming home. I can’t wait to cook for, hug, and see everyone. I love this city, and I love this restaurant concept.”

Before round 4 officially opens for business, specials will run from Beck’s menu beginning as soon as this coming weekend. Caldwell says, “This way the staff will have a chance to practice and the current guests will have a chance to preview what is to come.” She continues, “ I’m thrilled that Kitchen LTO will be the place that gets to first welcome Blythe back to Dallas. She’s one hell of a chef and her pink positivity will be a welcome influence with our staff and our guests. We’re kicking off year two with a bang, and I’m so excited for Dallas to, once again, experience Blythe’s food and let us at LTO take care of them.”

Beck recently returned to one of her passions – cooking for a live audience – completing several episodes for the Paula Deen Network. She will also be featured on an episode of “Beat Bobby Flay – Season 3” on The Food Network, to be broadcast during the 2014 holiday season.

Salma Gottfried is a photographer with a passion for abstract architectural visual interpretation. Gottfried says, “Lines, angles and shapes are my inspiration. My greatest influencers are photographers who are masters of visual simplicity yet so powerful in evoking human emotion. In my mind there is a correlation between adventure, a free spirit, travel, expression, feeling the moment and a memory, and of experimentation. I am thrilled to have won this competition and am looking forward to using Blythe’s menu as inspiration and giving diners having the chance to experience my work.”
