Local education-based nonprofit organization, Project Transformation, announces spring event, Off to the Farm! to be held on Saturday, May 16, 2- 6 pm. Designed for the epicurious, Project Transformation has partnered with FARM (Farmers Assisting Returning Military) for first annual young professionals fundraising event featuring notable local chefs and farmers creating plates from produce grown on property at FARM.

Graham Dodds of Hibiscus will serve as lead chef and will be joined by Adam West of The Porch, Mark Wootten of Garden Café, among others. Each chef is asked to create one hors d’oeuvre from product locally grown at FARM, creating their own signature hors d’oeuvre. Cocktails, craft beer, and wine will be paired with each hors d’oeuvre by Amber West, lead mixologist for the event. Activities include minute-to-win-it style games, themed after Project Transformation programs and curriculum. There will be a small live auction, music and other activities.

Tickets are $35 in advance or $40 at the door and include food, beverages and activities. An adults-only outdoor event on FARM’s property lends itself to a casual environment with great food and entertainment. “Off to the FARM!” will occur rain or shine, with indoor options if weather is inclement.

All proceeds from the event will benefit Project Transformation —a non-profit organization that provides after-school and summer educational programming to low-income children and youth in the greater Dallas area.
