Chef Joe Baker AKA “Joe the Baker” will be taking the Executive Chef position at Glazed Donut Works effective as of November 2nd.
“The acquisition of Joe’s extraordinary talent will serve to not only manage expansion and growth for us as we prepare to open at Legacy Hall next year – his creative and exceptional abilities will allow us to expand and innovate menu offerings in the very near future,” stated the release from the bakery.
The announcement continued, “Joe is without a doubt one of the absolute very best at what he does not only here in Dallas, but anywhere. When opening a little over 3 years ago it was our mission to produce the best donut in Texas, with Joe Baker on board as Executive Chef, we now set our sights on being one of the best in the nation”.
Be looking for some unique items coming from Glazed very soon. Baker was recently pitted up against Katherine Clapner (Dude, Sweet Chocolate) on Beat Bobby Flay on the Food Network. Glazed is known for their unusual donuts and late night hours in Deep Ellum.
