Flagship Restaurant Group, based in Omaha, Nebraska, today announced confirmed plans to open its newest Dallas location of Blue Sushi Sake Grill, fall 2017. Located in the Uptown neighborhood at 3230 McKinney Avenue, the restaurant will mark the group’s third Blue location in the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area.
Flagship Restaurant Group chief executive officer, Nick Hogan, says the restaurant group has had its sights set on Uptown for a while. “I have no doubt Blue’s lively bar scene and variety of sushi will position Blue as an ideal happy hour and late-night spot for Uptown residents.”
At Blue, guests will find an energetic dining experience, unique in atmosphere with the food and drink to match. Sourcing ingredients from the best purveyors around the world, the chefs at Blue have seafood delivered within days of the catch, ensuring guests are served the freshest fish available. The menu focuses on the social aspects of sushi cuisine, with dishes served at the center of the table in traditional Japanese-style to encourage sharing. And for those in search of more than just sushi, Blue’s grill menu features dishes such as the River Rock Beef Tenderloin served over a plate of sizzling hot rocks, Chicken Lettuce Wraps with bean sprouts, toasted cashews and cucumber sunonomo and the Yellowtail Serrano specialty sashimi, as well as the Itchy Seabass specialty nigiri.
Blue’s list of signature cocktails and martinis is comprised of creative and refreshing options such as the Samurai Saketini made with cucumber–infused vodka, unfiltered premium cold sake and fresh lime juice and the Corzo Cucumber Jalapeño Margarita with Corzo Silver, Cointreau, fresh lime juice, simple syrup and muddled jalapeño and cucumber. In addition to the selection of hand-crafted cocktails, their simple yet authentic list of premium cold sake provides not only a basic overview of sake varietals, but the ideal complement to the Blue dining experience.
Blue in Uptown will join Flagship Restaurant Group’s other Blue locations in Texas, which are in Preston Hollow Village in Dallas and in the lively West 7th district in Fort Worth.
