Oak Cliff’s Bouchon 1314 Closed

The Oak Cliff wine bar Bouchon closed its doors last week after a missive from owner Jean-Michel Sakouhi announced his retirement and ankles from the industry.

Sakouhi has been a mainstay in the industry for nearly 25 years dating back to his service days at the Mansion on Turtle Creek, and restaurants such as  Tramontana, Paris Bistrot, The Vault and S07 Bistro in Fort Worth. Bouchon opened in Oak Cliff almost exactly two years ago.

Here is the message sent out to the public:

After many years in the restaurant business, I have decided to retire. I want to thank everyone for your support over the years. I appreciate it very much.

In my retirement, I plan to focus on my health and my family here and in France.

Merci beaucoup. Santé
Jean-Michel
