HERO by HG SPLY CO is Now Serving Weekend Brunch

HERO by HG SPLY CO, the recently opened massive, open-air restaurant and bar in South Victory, Downtown Dallas is now serving weekend brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Culinary Director, Danyele McPherson says, “We wanted to put together a brunch menu that was both indulgent and healthy at the same time to give a broader array of options to our guests. Brunch is more often than not a communal meal so the menu was created to satisfy every friend and family member in the group.”

McPherson continues, “We have light options like the Dragon Fruit Smoothie Bowl, Strawberries and Coconut Cream Oatmeal, Egg White Omelet or our HG Breakfast of Champions plate. We have southern brunch staples like Shrimp and Grits, Smoked Ham Steak and have brought back the Cornfried Bread which was a Remedy favorite. The food is fun, fresh and just like HG, offers plenty of choices for all diner’s lifestyles.” Broken up into nine sections including Appetizers, Salads & Soup, Meat & Bread, Brunch Specialties, Fruit & Grain, Steak & Eggs, Classic Breakfasts, Sides and Cocktails, there is certainly plenty selection for everyone with over 50 items.

Standout items include the Drunken Grapefruit which features a halved TX grapefruit infused with house vodka – lime mint cordial, Deviled Egg Salad & Ham Toast made with grilled sourdough and light herbed egg salad topped with prosciutto; Smoothie Bowl made with Dragon Fruit, Mango, Banana, Coconut Milk and Pineapple Juice Smoothie, Kiwi, Toasted Coconut, Almonds, Hemp and Chia; HG Breakfast of Champions which includes scrambled TX Pachi Pachi Farm Eggs, Bacon, sliced Organic Rainwater Farms TX Tomatoes and Avocado with Olive Oil and Sea Salt, Fresh Fruit and Green Salad; Cornfried Bread with griddled Cornmeal Cakes, two Sunny Side TX Pachi Pachi Farms Eggs, Blueberry Maple Sausage, Salted Butter and Vermont Maple Syrup; and Ham Steak – cured and smoked, all natural Heritage Pork Loin, White Cheddar Stone Ground Grits, sautéed Greens, Caramelized Onions and Maple Hot Sauce Butter.

Brunch cocktails created by bar master Matt Ragan include individual drinks as well as large format cocktails for the table. Classic brunch beverages are available such as MimosasPeach Bellini and Julio’s Bloody Mary. Other cocktails include the Elderberry Spritz – St. Germaine Elderflower Liquer, Sparkling Wine, House Strawberry Cordial and Club Soda, Cold Brew Irish Coffee – G & W Private Stock Whiskey, Grady’s Cold Brew, Vanilla Syrup and Cream Top; Hipster Elixir – Gilbey’s Gin, Green Juice, Lemon, Simple and Ginger Kombucha; and Frozen Aperol Dreamsicle – Aperol, Grainger’s Organic Vodka and Orange Juice.

Large format cocktails are offered such as the Strawberry Mojito – Bacardi Light Rum, House Strawberry Cordial, Mint and Lime; Watermelon Cooler – Cimarron Tequila, Fresh Watermelon Juice, Vanilla Syrup and Lime; Cucumber Collins – 42 Below Vodka, Cucumber, Lime Mint Cordial and Club Soda; Mega Mosa and Mega Mule.
