Rodeo Goat Ice House – a casual beer and burger joint – is now open at the historic Casa Linda Plaza in East Dallas. This is the seventh location for the concept from restaurateurs Shannon Wynne, Keith Schlabs and Larry Richardson who debuted Rodeo Goat in Ft. Worth in 2012 followed by outposts in Dallas, Houston, Plano, The Harbor in Rockwall and The Sound at Cypress Waters.
Rodeo Goat Ice House serves fresh grass-fed beef burgers ground in-house daily from Texas beef raised at 44 Farms in Cameron, TX, as well as salads, sides and desserts.
The menu features over 20 playfully named burger selections including the popular Hola Señorita (candied jalapeños, smoked ham, pepper jack cheese jalapeño bacon, pico de gallo, poblano dressing, jalapeño cheddar bun and avocado bacon), Brad Sham (applewood smoked bacon, beefsteak tomato, jalapeños, shredded lettuce, fried onion, cheddar, pickle chutney and Texas BBQ sauce) in addition to a handful of meaty tribute burgers named for local personalities.
Other nods are given to local journalist and author Skip Hollandsworth, former Mayor Mike Rawlings and the Lakewood Country Club appear on the Casa Linda menu as well as vegetarian options including The Neil Young. All burgers can be made with chicken, turkey, vegan or Impossible patties.
The extensive drink menu offers domestic and imported brews with a large selection of “mostly” Texas craft beers, a list of wines available by the glass, and a quirky cocktail menu featuring signature concoctions such as the “Fainting Goat” crafted from Revolver Blood and Honey, vodka and orange juice and the “Moontang” with Firefly Moonshine, Tang and “other things”.
Happy Hour Monday – Friday from 4pm-7pm includes $1 off beers, $2 off wine and $3.50 well cocktails. Every Monday, the signature Mountings are $3 all-day-long.
