Holi, the Hindu festival of colors, is recognized world-wide as a major celebration of spring. In North Texas, Holi Mela – Dallas Festival of Colors is the largest celebration of its kind and draws thousands of revelers bridging age, race, religion and belief to Parker’s Southfork Ranch to celebrate inclusion and diversity. The festival will celebrate its 13th year on Saturday, March 4 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The festival is preceded by a celebratory color run which begins at 9:30 a.m. Tickets for the festival begin at $15 and can be purchased at DallasFestivalofColors.com. Additionally, a variety of private cabana packages are available starting at $300.
This festival has hosted more than 1,000 performance groups and artists, and this year promises to bring a wide array of dancers, drummers and performers celebrating a diverse and beautiful population. Additionally, dozens of food vendors, local artisans and other local creative leaders can be found across the grounds of the beautiful Southfork Ranch, where the event has been hosted for eight years.
