Hutchins BBQ, a beloved name in the Texas BBQ scene, proudly announces the inaugural National Texas Twinkie Day celebration on Monday, October 16. The special day honors them as the creator of the Original Texas Twinkie and marks the halfway point between Texas Independence Day and National BBQ Month.
Hutchins BBQ invites BBQ lovers and community members alike to join in on the National Texas Twinkie Day celebration, which will run from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The festivities will feature activities including a raffle with exciting prizes such as tickets to the Eagles vs. Cowboys game and gift cards from Hutchins BBQ and SCHEELS Sporting Goods. All proceeds from the raffle ticket sales will be dedicated to supporting two local community partners: Frisco Family Services and The Samaritan Inn. As an additional treat, the first 100 guests to sign up for the raffle will receive a free Texas Twinkie T-shirt.
“The Texas Twinkie is one of our best-selling menu items and is something that embodies the spirit of Texas BBQ,” said Trey Hutchins, Co-Owner of Hutchins BBQ. “We have a longstanding commitment to giving back to the neighborhoods we serve, and National Texas Twinkie Day is no exception. This celebration is a way to say thanks to our community and have a blast while doing it. We’re excited to make this special day one to remember.”
The Texas Twinkie is a testament to the restaurant’s innovation and culinary excellence. It’s made with an extra-large fresh jalapeño pepper that is generously filled with rich cream cheese and the restaurant’s world-famous Prime USDA brisket and is then wrapped in thick-cut bacon and smoked to perfection. Guests will be able to enjoy Texas Twinkies for just $2 during Hutchins BBQ’s regular hours all day on Oct. 16.
