Join Leela’s Wine Bar for a trip around the Mediterranean with their Summer House “A Trip Around the Med” where bright bold flavors align perfectly with the décor inspired by the sights and sounds of beautiful coastal European countries.
While all locations will have “A Trip Around the Med” decor and cocktails, the Greenville Ave location is the largest transformation at 1914 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX 75206. This pop-up launched today and will last through mid-August (no exact end date).
This collaboration with designer turned entrepreneur Karla Gallegos, Founder of The Planting Hand, has created a space where guests will be transported to an atmosphere surrounded by florals and fresh citrus where elegance meets comfortability. Select plants and decor will even be available to purchase at The Planting Hand (located on Greenville Ave) as well to bring the Mediterranean vibes into your own home!
Guests can experience the Summer House menu with specialty pizzas and cocktails created with intention, using ingredients you might find while on vacation in Italy, Croatia, France, Spain, or Greece.
From fresh Acacia blossom honey found in the Anatolian Mountains, to distinct cheese originating from the island of Pag, each ingredient plays a key role in sharing the culture from these destinations.
The limited-time Mediterranean-inspired menu includes cocktails from various regions along the Mediterranean coastline like the French cocktails, Trés Jolie – Tito’s Vodka, Chambord, apricot, lemon, simple, La Marca bubbles; and the That’s That Me Espresso – espresso infused Townes vodka, Mr. Black, Frangelico, cold foam, crème brûlèe strawberry. Some Italian favorites include the Capri Sea – strawberry infused Engine Gin, lemon, shrub, topped with basil; and Vinceno’s Vice – Engine Gin, Campari, lemon, acacia honey, topped with green grapes. The menu also naturally features housemade limoncello shots and Frozen Limoncello.
Guests can indulge in the spritz section as well with a spritz from Italy, Croatia, France, Spain, or Greece OR “Book a Trip Around the Med” with their spritz flight to have a taste of each country (serves a minimum of two people). Standout spritzes include the Oui Oui (France) – St. Germain, Cocchi Americano Bianco, mint, orange, Fever Tree tonic, La Marca bubbles; Athena’s Favor (Greece) – Metaxa 5 Star, pamplemousse, lime, strawberry, rhubarb, lemongrass, Fever Tree tonic, La Marca bubbles; Vale Spritz (Spain) – Aviation Gin, Tío Pepe, rosemary, thyme, Fever Tree cucumber, La Marca bubbles.
To round out the experience, Leela’s has also created pizzas inspired by these destinations available during the pop-up. Highlights include the Greek Goddess – shaved lamb and beef, feta, tomatoes, onions, tzatziki, cilantro, white sauce; Croatian Coast – crispy prosciutto, pag island cheese, basil, spicy red, sauce; and the Frenchie – brie, arugula, shaved apples, caramelized onions, white sauce.2
