“Radici” means “roots” in Italian, and the name reflects the restaurant’s deep connection to tradition, family, and culture. Following a successful debut in Farmers Branch last May, the team is excited to bring their unique take on Italian cuisine to a new community.
Chef Derry’s inspiration for Radici comes from her early days cooking in Italian kitchens, travels through Italy, and her passion for the country’s rich regional flavors. At the center of the menu: handmade pasta made fresh daily and dishes cooked over a wood-fired grill, all prepared in an open kitchen.
“Italian food has been such a big part of my culinary journey,” said Derry. “It’s been amazing to bring this concept to life, and now I’m excited to share it with the Grand Prairie community. We’re all about bringing people together over great food and great memories.”
Tom Foley, who designs the guest experience and restaurant atmosphere, has created a warm, welcoming space featuring floor-to-ceiling windows, rich burgundy tones, and even some of his own artwork. Inspired by his Italian heritage—his mother is from Balvano—Foley brought in Queen’s Floral Design + Events to help create a dramatic vertical green wall in the dining room, representing the restaurant’s growth and story.
The space is also designed for private events, making it an ideal spot for everything from weddings to corporate gatherings.
“Our mission is to create unforgettable dining experiences,” said Foley. “Every element—from the food to the design—tells a story. We’re proud to open our second Radici and bring a little piece of Italy to Grand Prairie.”
Since opening in 2024, Radici’s Farmers Branch location was named one of Texas Monthly’s “Best New Restaurants in 2025.”
