Society Bakery + Tea is launching a new afternoon tea experience, The Martha Stewart Tea, running from April 24 through May 31. This limited-time three-course English afternoon tea is a tribute to the lifestyle icon herself, lovingly crafted with dishes inspired by Martha Stewart’s own musings on what she would serve at a tea party.
“Martha Stewart has been a personal inspiration and hero to me for decades,” says Society Bakery + Tea’s Owner, Roshi Muns. “She is a pioneer, an icon, and a true original. Her mantra of ‘always move forward’ is something I think about every day.”
Drawing from moments on Martha’s television shows, the menu has been thoughtfully created to reflect the kinds of dishes she’s said she would serve at her own tea party. The savory course includes radish and cucumber tea sandwiches, asparagus tea sandwiches, smoked salmon, egg salad, and chicken salad tea sandwiches. For the scones, guests will enjoy Society’s classic alongside a fragrant orange scone adapted from Martha’s latest cookbook, accompanied by a selection of spreads including quince, her favorite fruit. Dessert is a whimsical and elegant finish with petit fours, coconut cake, her signature lemon cookie, and Society’s beloved sugar cookie topped with buttercream icing. The tea itself will be a surprise — something playful that may just make guests giggle.
To enrich the experience, Society Bakery + Tea Room’s Tea Sommelier, Emily Cassady, will guide guests through the art of tea, offering insights into the flavor profiles, origins, and pairing notes of the featured teas. Her expert commentary adds a layer of depth and discovery to each cup, creating a multi-sensory journey that honors the elegance and intentionality Martha Stewart is known for.

Guests will also receive a unique, hand-painted takeaway gift — a one-of-a-kind token crafted with love and care. Muns explains, “We wanted something thoughtful and handmade, because that’s exactly what Martha would do. She wouldn’t buy a gift — she’d make one.”
The experience is priced at $83 (plus tax and gratuity) in celebration of Martha’s 83rd year of life! Reservations are required at least 96 hours in advance and can be made at https://societybakerytea.com/.
