Addison Kaboom Town! Air Show and Fireworks July 3rd

On the evening of Wednesday, July 3, the sky above Addison, Texas, will explode with more than just fireworks. As part of the 40th anniversary of Addison Kaboom Town!, one of America’s most celebrated Independence Day traditions, a jaw-dropping aerial spectacle will take flight—turning the North Texas skyline into a canvas of power, precision, and pyrotechnic artistry.

Before the first spark of fireworks ignites, all eyes will turn upward at 7:30 p.m. for the legendary Addison Airport Air Show—a treasured prelude that has earned its own spot in the hearts of over half a million annual spectators. With dazzling aerobatics and soaring salutes from historic aircraft, the show is visible from miles away and is woven into the very fabric of Kaboom Town! tradition.

From vintage warbirds to high-performance stunt planes, this year’s curated air show lineup is set to awe. Headlining the historic fleet is Devil Dog, a WWII-era B-25 bomber piloted by the trailblazing Beth Jenkins and her all-female crew. Also featured is a P-40 Warhawk flown by Taylor Stevenson, one of the youngest warbird pilots in America, alongside an experimental Gamebird, helmed by ace pilot Patrick Arnzen.

Joining these aviation icons will be an electrifying team of aerobatic champions:

  • The Titan Aerobatic Team, flying AT-6 Texans—WWII pilot trainers originally built in North Texas.
  • Mike Gallaway, representing Team USA with his agile Extra 300.
  • David Martin, former U.S. and World Men’s Freestyle Aerobatic Champion, soaring in a Beech Baron.
  • Curt Richmond and his nimble Pitts Special.
  • Julia Wood, a commercial airline pilot-turned-air-show favorite, also commanding a Pitts Special.

At around 9 p.m., just before the fireworks ignite, both Martin and the Titan Team return for a pulse-pounding pyrotechnic flight—a twilight thrill ride that bathes the sky in sparks and flame.

Then, at 9:30 p.m., prepare to be spellbound as Addison Kaboom Town! delivers 25 minutes of the most synchronized and celebrated fireworks in the nation. With rave reviews from USA TODAY’s 10Best, Travel + Leisure, The Wall Street Journal, and more, this is not just a fireworks show—it’s a pyrotechnic masterpiece.

The epicenter of the celebration is Addison Circle Park, a 12-acre festival grounds complete with live music, food, and family-friendly revelry.
