Dallas-based Vandelay Hospitality Group—operator of 23 restaurants across Texas and California with new concepts coming to Scottsdale in 2026—has appointed Gen Gray as Chief Operating Officer.
Gray, a seasoned hospitality executive, is known for scaling iconic brands and building people-first cultures. As COO, she will oversee daily restaurant operations, guest experience, training, culture, and new-venue openings.
Her career includes leadership roles at some of the industry’s most recognized brands. Most recently, Gray served as Global COO and Chief People Officer at Topgolf Callaway Brands, helping grow the company from about 30 venues to more than 100 worldwide. She previously led operations at Maggiano’s Little Italy and began her career as a server in Atlanta under the mentorship of industry veteran Doug Brooks.
“Gen is a transformational operator and culture-builder,” said Hunter Pond, Founder & CEO of Vandelay Hospitality Group. “Her track record of scaling hospitality brands while elevating the guest experience makes her the ideal leader for our next phase of growth.”
Gray added, “Great hospitality starts with people—investing in teams, obsessing over quality, and paying attention to the details every day. I’m thrilled to join Vandelay Hospitality Group and partner with its talented leaders to deliver consistently exceptional experiences as we grow.”
