Globally Inspired Cocktail Experience, Lumis, Open This Fall

Lumis, a globally inspired lounge from Houston-based DMP Concepts, is set to open this fall at The Seam, Dallas’ upcoming premier lifestyle and hospitality destination in the Design District. The intimate cocktail destination will be located at 1444 Oak Lawn Avenue at the heart of the development.

DMP Concepts, a group led by Mayur Desai in partnership with Atik Mistry and brothers Jinesh and Krutik Patel, brings together a collaborative team that emphasizes creativity, international inspiration, and a focus on atmosphere-driven concepts. Lumis serves as the flagship of an emerging portfolio defined by sophisticated yet approachable spaces, cocktail craftsmanship, and service that prioritizes consistency and guest connection.

It builds on the success of De Fortune, a Houston hot spot known for its striking ambience and unique drinks program.

“At The Seam, we’re intentionally weaving together dining, design, and fashion in ways that feel natural to the Design District,” said Clare Walsh, Managing Partner at Asana Partners, parent company of The Seam. “Lumis brings an exciting new thread to that vision – an intimate, highly designed cocktail bar that will be as much a visual experience as it is a place to gather.”

Complementing a neighborhood already celebrated for its stylish showrooms, contemporary galleries, luxury residences, and standout dining destinations, Lumis spans approximately 2,500 square feet, and its moniker reflects a focus on mood, energy and sensory indulgence.

Shaped by Dallas-based Studio 11, its interiors will feature warm, layered lighting, custom furnishings, and a central bar serving as both the visual centerpiece and social anchor. Acclaimed Miami-based cocktail consultancy, Unfiltered Hospitality, known for projects including Le Coucou and Buddakan New York, Limelight Hotel Aspen, and Ritz-Carlton Miami Beach, have been tasked with creating inventive takes on the classics, alongside original creations designed to appeal to both cocktail aficionados and casual guests.

“We envision Lumis as a cozy and refined but energetic retreat – the kind of space where the atmosphere feels transportive and welcoming,” said co-owners Mayur Desai and Atik Mistry. “The Design District offers a unique mix of creativity and elevated hospitality that makes it a natural fit for what we’re building.”

Emphasizing polished service, a lush soundtrack blending contemporary pop, dance, and Afro-house, and a menu of elevated light bites. Lumis will add a chic, late-night dimension to one of Texas’ most anticipated lifestyle destinations, The Seam.

The lounge will operate daily, offering weekday happy hours, reservations, and walk-in seating.
