Add that with all of the unique and limited pressings and global success of Record Store Day and you have quite a movement going on with both DJ’s and collectors alike are grabbing new releases and are always on the prowl for older records.
This Sunday Beat Swap Meet a travelling record swap meet based out of Los Angeles that hosts huge events there returns to Dallas for its 2nd show. There will be a dozen vendors on site with records and also urban art for sale as well as a diverse lineup of local DJ’s providing music for the event. Plans for more shows in Dallas in the future will consist of food trucks on site, b-boy battles and live graffiti demonstrations. Continue reading
