You may recall Adam West from his stint at Dragonfly at ZaZa in Dallas. The chef has been working at the executive chef at the ZaZa in Houston for the past year but is now coming home to open his own food truck in Dallas.
Chef West will soon be bringing home the bacon with his bacon themed truck he will call Unforsacon Bacon.
We were first tipped off to the food truck by West’s sister, Amber West, who is the bar manager at Central 214, but we were asked to sit on the story until West put in his notice at ZaZa. Continue reading

Taco eaters rejoice. Tonight is the grand opening of Rock and Roll Taco’s debut inside the Deep Ellum bar La Grange. Food truck operators James Quinonez and his wife, Mary Ann Quinonez, have joined forces with La Grange owners Stephanie and Rob Schumacher to open this rocking new restaurant inside their bar.
Before starting the restaurant, James and Mary Ann were already well known for supplying gourmet food to Dallas with their premier food truck. Although these trucks serve a wide variety of food, Rock and Roll Tacos is a decidedly Mexican restaurant with a rock and roll feel. Continue reading

I think most of us have enjoyed a food truck rally or two in the past year in Dallas. These are the cool gatherings of trucks that feed massive amounts of people in a matter of hours, all walking away with a smorgasbord of cuisine ranging from banh mi’s to pizza.
