FnG Hosts a Wine Dinner and a “Communal Gathering” Jan 20th

dsc01375by Jennifer Thomas

Our favorite restaurant in Keller is by far FnG Eats, owned by chef Bob Stephenson. The menu is varied and caters well to the community, and is fun and imaginative. Take a visit and you will soon experience the same. Today we learned that chefs Carlos Arevalo & Bob Stephenson are hosting a wine dinner and “communal gathering” January 20th at 7pm. And may this be the first time I say or write 2016. Priced at a bargain rate of $55, you will want to be part of this event. Call 817.741.5200 to reserve.

Our editor wrote a first look on this restaurant when they opened in  2012, check that out here to learn more about the restaurant. When you are there you may ask Bob to do a poetry slam just for fun. He is quite good at this.

craveRADIO: April 14, 2013

14_2013_04_Crave_Radio-2019by Steven Doyle      photos by Robert Bostick

Last week on craveRADIO we had in studio the bodacious Bob Stephenson from FnG Eats in Keller. Chef Bob was gracious enough to bring the crave staffers a bountiful feast of Habanero Peach BBQ Ribs, El Comal Baked Beans, a little Mac a J.A.C and Texas Sweet Tea. Needless to say, we need more guests like Bob.

We discussed the menu at FnG, which happens to be fun plays on a lot of familiar dishes, and the good chef enraptured us with a poem. You see, Bob is what they call a Poetry Slammer. He travels across the country to participate in poetry events, and if you listen to the show you will be able to see why he does so well.   Continue reading

Keller’s FnG Eats Adding Brunch To Their Line Up

by Robyn Folmar

We checked back in with Chefs Bob Stephenson and Carlos Arevalo of Keller’s newest restaurant FnG Eats, and they are settling in quite nicely after their August opening in Keller Town Center. Blessed fall brings changes to the menu that focuses heavily on locally grown produce wheeled over from the Keller Farmer’s Market in their little red wagon.  Continue reading

First Look: FnG Eats

by Steven Doyle

We spent the better part of the morning checking out a few new restaurants in the DFW area. One of the better finds was in Keller and run by the former chefs of Cool River, Bob Stephenson and Carlos Arevalo. Both chefs have an illustrious background; Stephenson alone has opened nearly 40 restaurants, but this would be his first to actually own.

FnG Eats is in the former City Hall restaurant space in Keller that was run by season two Top Chef contestant Otto Borisch. The space has undergone complete revamp and is now much more comfortable and easily managed by Stephenson, who said that he can see pretty much everything going on in the restaurant from any vantage point. He will be able to sauté a few veggies and seconds later greet guests as they file into the door.  And file they will. This restaurant is good.            Continue reading
