What The Truck? Truck Pick Of The Week

Food trucks have permeated our lifestyle and we are seeing them now so often we almost do not pay attention. In Texas Austin is the food truck Mecca, but we have our share in Dallas and they are doing some great things. Tasty things.

Sure, we can find the usual suspects at Klyde Warren Park, lined up dutifully dispersing good grub to the masses all week long, and the truck Yard has a constant rotation in their repertoire which keeps us on our toes, and there are other delicious hot spots across the city where you can scope out your favorites. We have even seen trucks lined up for parties, often prepaid by the host, and this would include weddings and bar mitzvahs. Those are always good fetes. Continue reading →

Wine and Grilled Cheese Pairing at Cork Wine Bar Tonight

Stop by Cork Wine Bar tonight in West Village for a unique wine and cheese pairing, grilled cheese that is. Cork is teaming up with Ruthie’s Grilled Cheese tonight for five in interesting wine and grilled cheese pairings from 7- 9pm.

The line up includes a Lone Birch Gewurtztraminer or Swallow Pinot Noir paired with “The Classic”, Alias Chardonnay or Boxhead Shiraz paired with “The Turkey Trot”, Birichino rosé or Domaine Pierre Guindon Cabernet Franc paired with “Italian Hippie”, Bucci Verdicchio or Ca’ del Baio Nebbiolo paired with “Pizza Please”, and Amizetta Sauvignon Blanc or Manos Negras Carmenere paired with “Reuben the Great”. Ruthies Rolling Cafe Announces A New Truck (Think Crepes)

Ruthie’s Rolling Cafes are a trio of food trucks that have set a new standard in roving delicacies. The first food truck, called Ruthie’s Rolling Cafe, introduced a gourmet grilled cheese sandwich that took Dallas by storm. Offering melt in your mouth grilled cheese sandwiches to the DFW area, word spread like wildfire and Ruthie’s achieved a cult following overnight.
