Trucking With Ruthie on National Sandwich Day

What sort of National Sandwich Day would it be without including a great grilled cheese? We are digging us a killer food truck in Dallas, Ruthie’s Rolling Cafe.  Ruthie’s is a permanent fixture at Klyde Warren Park where hungry hoards get their fill of warm, gooey cheese sandwiches made to order and with great variety.

Sure, you could choose a Plain Jane made on sourdough, and no one will judge you once they see the long strands of American cheese stretch across your lips. That’s is just standard fare. But you could go extra seriously cheesy by ordering a sandwich with the whole menu of cheeses including Swiss, Cheddar, Mozzarella, and Havarti all melty good and sloppy, just the way God intended.

Then they have Brisket, Chicken, Bacon and Ham selections, those are good of course. Better than good, actually.

But for our hard earned bucks we are going with the new cheese on the block, Jam On. This genius sandwich is ripe with Havarti, crispy bacon, berry preserves and grilled on sourdough.

Whichever you choose, now you know where to find the goods. It is rolling with Ruthie.
