A Model’s Guide to the Modern Relationship
My friends tease me–“Why should anyone trust a model?” This is a valid question, given the stereotypes that go hand in hand with the profession. Not a day goes by when I don’t hear a rapper talk about dating (with a capital ‘F’) a model. But, the fashion industry has taught me the kind of hard-knock education that many lack, the kind of stuff that isn’t taught in schools. Only years of experience, trial and error, and countless hours of listening, can earn a degree in this field. I’m talking about the education of modern relationships.
Over the last two decades, my career has afforded me the opportunity to travel the world. What I’ve learned through my travels is that people (22-52 years old) are experiencing the same relationship dilemmas. Everyone everywhere can be categorized. We often think we’re special, and our problems are unique. Or we believe another’s circumstances can’t happen to us. That kind of thinking is a mistake with heavy consequences. We’re all human, and we all share similar problems. If we’re smart we can learn from our mistakes and others’ mistakes, in order to cut our losses and bad patterns.
I’m a modern woman, with modern answers. Many of which, were learned the hard way. That’s probably why I’ve earned the reputation of giving great relationship advice. I try not to judge another’s situation, mostly because our lessons make us who we are. But with that said, I think a person has to learn their lesson the first time, or it will keep coming back. I like to keep an open mind, figure out the situation from all perspectives, and attack it with as much honestly as possible.
I will be posting questions & answers, video interviews, and personal short stories from those brave enough to share their experiences. Please feel free to post comments, ask questions, and get down to the nitty-gritty. Let’s try and make some sense of the he said/she said chaos, of our modern dating world.

A MODERN woman’s relationship advice column is lacking in what you see out there. It’s a huge world; yet when relationships are concerned; it’s extremely small; and the columns and advice available is extremely outdated. So, I am excited to see what is to come and to hopefully get some tips and help to see the big picture! Go Toni!
