Texas/ OU 2011 Weekend Party Planner

Texas/OU Weekend kicks off tonight with a variety of events across the Metroplex. Here are some of the best watching parties and post-game events going on throughout Dallas. We will add to the list as we hear about the events.             

Watching Parties:

The Texas Exes Dallas Chapter: Begins it’s weekend long festivities tonight with a Happy Hour at Park 17. Two official watching parties are scheduled at Knox Street Pub and Grill and Brick House Tavern and Tap in Plano.

The OU Club of Dallas– Tx/OU Weekend Events kick off tonight with a Happy Hour at Sherlock’s in Addison and continue all weekend long. Official OU Club Game Watching Parties in three locations across Dallas: Three Sheets, The Texas Theater (FREE to get in. Will have a hot dog, Nacho vendor on hand selling food, full bar with hh specials all day), and BlackFinn American Saloon in Addison ($2.50 domestic draft pints, $13 buckets of beer, $13 domestic beer towers).

The Crown and Harp– Doors open at 11am to watch the Red River Shootout on multiple flat-screens and a big screen. Drink specials for the game. The after party starts upstairs at 10pm with DJs: Miss CJ, Mark J, B-Boy, You.Eff.Oh!& Live music downstairs with Texas’ own John Lefler of Dashboard Confessional, 8 Track, and Altered States. Upstairs, No Cover, Free Valet before 10pm, $5 Valet after 10pm!!!

Coors Light Party at the AT&T Plaza– The Coors Light Texas-Oklahoma Party in the Plaza features food and drinks (for purchase) and prize giveaways. Bring a lawn chair to watch the game on nine jumbo video screens. Doors at 9am, starts at 12pm. No coolers or outside food permitted. 21 and up.

National Sports Lounge – They have over sixty HD televisions to watch the football game. Full service bar and menu.

The Bone– Opens early with Bloody Marys and Mimosas. Pregame music from Rodeo Clown Dropouts. Rogue Radio’s postgame set starts at 10 p.m.

Granada Theater– Watch the game of the Granada Big Screen (movie screen sized) and enjoy the all you can eat Fajita Buffet. Doors at 1:30pm. $20. Must RSVP

McKinney Ave Tavern– Plenty of TV screens, outside seating, TX/OU VIP Packages available, $20 shuttle to and from State Fair, and after party with DJ Spinderella of Salt N Peppa.

Duke’s Original Roadhouse– Celebrates with a huge tent party all weekend. $14 Dos XX beer towers.

After Parties/Saturday Night Events:

Elm Street Bar– Elm Street Bar along with La Onda & Key City presents:Southern Moombahtality TX/OU Afterparty. Moombah, Cumbia, and Hiphop and more.  DJ’s: Nemeses, Soi, Phooka, Sarah Battle, AC VolVeR. Cover $5 21+
4th Annual Bash After the Clash– At Wish Ultralounge with DJ Kurupt.  All Texas and OU students with a valid ID get to skip the line. This event is expected to reach capacity so be sure to arrive early.

Zubar–  Hiphop (front room) and House (back) music with DJ’s:SOULjah, Jay Clipp, Pascuall, Jose, Fransico Javier. Mc’s Flotation and Special Guest. Starts at 9pm.

House of Blues– Black Ex-Students of Texas presents Liquid Soul a Texas-OU Edition after-party. 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. $35-$50.
