This weekend we ran into Bob Sambol, former owner of Bob’s Steak and Chop House. Back in May we reported that Bob had left the M Crowd where he was charged with developing a fine dining brand and is now Director of Marketing & Business Development for Hofmann Sausage Company, which is a 133 year old sausage company based in Syracuse.
This weekend Bob could be spotted at one of the many Albertson’s in the DFW area as the company sampled out the Hoffman sausages and also gave us some delightful news. Hofmann will be opening hot dog restaurants across the country, including four in the DFW area. The VP said that we should be seeing those restaurants this year and will bring us more news at it develops.
There are other restaurants coming soon that will feature hot dogs and we predict that dogs will be the new burger that Dallas will swoon over.
My husband grew up in Syracuse and I lived there for a few years and the coney or white Hoffman dog is out of this world…….just grill them with a bit of oil serve them on a Freihofer New England roll and of course chocolate milk……yummmmmm….how about boiled salt potatoes?
