One more brewery is in the works in the Dallas area joining the ranks of several very successful brands and a growing list awaiting their premier. FireWheel Brewing Company, owned by 25 year old Brad Perkinson will be located at 2806 Lawning Lane in Rowlett and has been under construction since early Spring 2012.
Perkinson plans on starting small with a 4 tank system in his 2,500 square foot building which also features a tasting room. Within the first few years the brewer forecasts that he should quadruple in size.
FireWheel will first feature a pale ale and plans to be able to serve up its first batch late Summer 2012.
The new brewery joins the ranks of a few other breweries about to open in the DFW area including Lakewood Brewing Company, Four Corners Brewing Company and Martin House Brewing Company.
**Update: There will be a Firewheel Brewing Launch Party — Thursday, July 26 at 5:00pm at the Common Table in Dallas.
