Meet Clive Coates At A Very Special Wine Dinner

Coquerel Family Wine Estates of Dallas and  Calistoga, California, in conjunction with Chaîne des Rôtisseurs Balliage de Dallas, Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin and Pogo’s Wine & Spirits, will host a special Burgundy wine dinner featuring world-renowned master of wine and author Clive Coates at Lakewood Country Club, located at 6430 Gaston Ave., on Sunday, April 7 at 6:30 p.m.

Coates is one of the leading authorities on wine and an award-winning author of numerous books including “The Wines of Burgundy,” “The Wines of Bordeaux” and “The Great Wines of France.” He published “THE VINE,” an independent wine magazine, for 241 issues. 


The dinner will feature selected Burgundy wines and food pairings from Lakewood Country Club chef, William Koval. During the dinner, Coates will offer his insight and expertise related to wines from the Burgundy region, where he currently resides.

Coates is a distinguished master of wine, recognized by the French government, which awarded him the Chevalier de l’Ordre du Merite Agricole. He holds numerous other honors, including the title of Wine Writer of the Year for 1998-1999 in the Champagne Lanson Awards. Tickets are $185 per person and may be purchased in advance by calling 214-530-5210 or emailing This event will sell out and pre-paid reservations are necessary to attend. Payments may be made by check, cash, PayPal or credit card. All paid reservations will be non-refundable after April 3.
