Lounge 31 has become the place for drinks and light dining offering a perfect blend of casual sophistication, cozy corners, and European flair.  Along with its eclectic menu of lite bites, Lounge 31 has expanded its culinary offerings with a recently introduced Crudo Sushi Bar featuring Chef Chin “Steve” Liang who delights guests with his precise sushi artistry. Liang shows his true passion for Asian and fusion cuisines with a menu featuring an assortment of Japanese sushi rolls and sashimi, Italian crudo, freshly shucked oysters and more.

With experience as the sushi chef at notable North Texas sushi restaurants including Naan, Steel, Kinado and Blue Fish, Chef Liang brings a strong knowledge and creativity to the newest culinary addition to Lounge 31.

The menu includes Liang-inspired Japanese creations including Spicy Tuna and Shrimp Tempuras as well as a special signature Lounge 31 Roll made with Tempura Bacon, Crab, Avocado, topped with Tuna, Salmon and Yellowtail.

With Alberto Lombardi at the helm, a raw bar at his restaurant must also include Crudo, the Italian style of serving raw fish.  Chef Liang has developed crudo specialties including Big Eye Tuna served with Baby Wild Arugula and Seaweed Salad, Orange, Meyer Lemon, Taggiasca Olives and Black Sea Salt and Scottish Salmon accompanied by Sea Salt, Creamy Horseradish, Pickled Beet Salad, Caviar and Dill Oil.

The Sushi Crudo Bar is open Monday – Wednesday, 4pm to 12am; Thursday – Saturday 4pm to 2am; and Sunday 12pm to 10pm.  For more information, visit their website.

This will prove interesting as Lounge 31’s neighbor, Marquee Grill is working on a similar concept to replace their upstairs dining room. Marquee will have additional global seafood dishes as well as the sushi.
