Busy Fort Worth diners have a new lunch destination.  BITE City Grill, the lauded new restaurant from Chef Eddy Thretipthuangsin, will begin both lunch and happy hour service this week.

Lunch is offered daily at BITE from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Guests  who enjoy the Small Bites menu will be pleased to see most of their favorites remaining, including the Lemongrass Coconut Clams with basil, lemongrass coconut broth and Spanish chorizo, Charred Octopus with Peppadew peppers and ginger aioli.

Also for lunch the popular salad and flatbread menus have been expanded to include chicken, shrimp, salmon and vegetarian options.  The Big Bites entrée menu includes some favorites from the dinner menu, but adds a wide variety of sandwiches in the $8-$16 range, including a Shrimp BLT, Short Rib Sandwich, and a Pulled Pork BBQ sandwich with blue cheese coleslaw. Larger entrees include a house-made shrimp pappardelle, roasted pork loin with braised collard greens and a delicate shrimp risotto with lemongrass.

Daily happy hour will be served from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m.  The restaurant’s zodiac-inspired cocktails will be featured, with the current ‘sign’ cocktail discounted to $6 during happy hour.  Additionally, guests will enjoy $5 wines by the glass and $1 off all draft beer.  A menu of bar snacks ranging from $5-9 will be offered during that time.

Thretipthuangsin expect this menu to be popular with those using the restaurant’s newly renovated patio space.
