Henderson Tap House Has A Great Selection Of Beers And Bites

DSC00411by Steven Doyle

The month old Henderson Tap House is serving up a huge menu in a very tiny space of a kitchen. The kitchen is outfitted with a wood burning oven, so the pizzas they offer come out bubbly hot and crisp. There is a large variety of soups, sandwiches and salads, as well as a pretty spectacular prime rib and potato nacho dish that has shaved prime rib, housemade potato chips, caramelized onions, cheddar cheese, and bleu cheese crumbles.

Other notable dishes include what they called Killer Shrimp, which is panko fried shrimp in a sriracha glaze served with a Gorgonzola and bleu cheese dipping sauce. Recently we enjoyed the Buffalo Chicken Pizza made with a white sauce, mozzarella, grilled chicken and a drizzle of a housemade Buffalo sauce. And because bacon and lobster seem to pair so well together, they are offering a lobster mac and cheese that includes both lobster and bacon, along with crimini mushrooms smoked provolone and cheddar cheese.

The 7,000-square-foot space houses two large bars mirroring each other and serving 24 draft beers, more than 50 bottled beers including craft selections and tall boys in paper bags, and an impressive selection of spirits with an emphasis on exceptional whiskey and bourbon.

There are many specials through out the week, including happy hour with half priced pizza and an exclusive $5 happy hour menu.
