What has been an odd week for elotes in Dallas comes a beautiful dish from the good people at Ten Bells Tavern in the Bishop Arts District of Oak Cliff. This sumptuous dish screams for attention, and certainly to be eaten paired with good beer and greater friends.
Elotes is this marvelous Hispanic treat that is a mélange of fresh corn, mayonnaise, butter, chiles and cotija cheese. Cotija might be considered the Mexican parmesan. Fantastic to enjoy with a cold beer on a beautiful Saturday afternoon.
Although we do not recommend sharing a dish like the elotes at Ten Bells, it certainly could be attempted, But why? There is plenty of this sultry corn for everyone.
We found the best part of Ten Bells (besides the great food and drinks) is that it is pet friendly. There are even on-premise kitties to enjoy, many years ahead of these new Cat Cafes that are springing up across the country.
Check out the elotes this weekend at one of our very favorite hot spots in Dallas.
