Fred’s Texas Cafe Updates + New Chef Announcement

Fred’s Texas Cafe in Fort Worth is excited to officially announce the promotion of a long-time member of the Fred’s family to the newly created position of head chef, Fabian Alvarado, who’ll oversee both locations. Chef Fabian is no stranger to the FW dining scene. He began cooking on the chuckwagon in 2015 with Quincy Wallace and he has previously cooked at LaPerla, Bearded Lady, LeCep.

Chef Fabian joined the Fred’s team on the catering side and has been involved with the restaurant ever since. This newly created position to the team will create higher consistency and quality across each Fred’s location and begin laying the groundwork for the expansion of the Fred’s brand in 2022. He will oversee new additions to the Fred’s menu, including the return of beloved lunch specials, the rollout of a brunch menu later this year, and exciting country cooking specialties – pulled from his background on the chuckwagon.

CEO and Co-Owner Quincy Wallace said about the new addition, “Fabian has been with us for a long time now and will be a great asset for Fred’s as we grow. I got to see his talent and work ethic cooking together on the chuckwagon all those years. I know he’ll bring the consistency to both locations that we’ve been missing for a little while. He’s got a great palate and knows a lot about the culinary world. He’s going to bring a little bit of youth and renegade spirit to the food at Fred’s.”

Updates on the new location soon.
