If you’re into awesome subs, then you will want to try out Jon Smith Subs in Frisco. The little restaurant has been open for two weeks and is owned by Jennifer and Kevin Sinker. 

When you walk in you are greeted by very nice folks and if you’re fortunate, Kevin will be there so let him know I sent you in. It is a very clean and bright place. 

When ordering a sub from Jon Smith’s you not just getting the run-a-mill Sub, you get one where they butcher their own meat and marinate it for 24 hours, as well as roasting their own Pork which is made for the Cuban Sub. 

With any good Sub you need to start with a good foundation and that is the bread. They make their own bread daily and make sure it is very fresh. If you give them a try you will see why the bread just melts into your mouth and can taste all the ingredients that come on your special sub. 

There is nothing pre-cooked and all made to order so it may take a few minutes to wait on your food as it is being prepared in front of you, and not your food waiting on you with any pre-cooked sitting under the dreaded heat lamps.

The top items for you to try is the following:  

  • Steak Bomb consisting of Loaded with Sirloin Steak, Grilled Onions, Peppers, Mushrooms, Bacon, Tomatoes with Provolone and Mayo. You can get this with Chicken as well as the same toppings
  • The Cheeseburger Sub and you must get that with the bomb toppings
  • The Cuban Sub, with the Roasted Mojo Pork with pickle, swiss, mayo, and mustard served on authentic Cuban bread.
