Loop 9 BBQ Previews New Menu

The pitmasters at Loop 9 BBQ, home of the best new barbecue in Texas, decided that smoked bird is too delicious to save for the holidays.  Guests have enjoyed sliced smoked turkey since the popular barbecue restaurant opened earlier this year, but Thanksgiving prompted the team to make room for full birds in the smokers.  Holiday packages remain available through December 20.  It turns out love of poultry is one of the worst-kept secrets of beef- and pork-centric Texas BBQ aficionados, and Loop 9 is excited to meet that demand.

Having perfected the essential trifecta of brisket, ribs, and pulled pork in its opening months, Loop 9 BBQ is excited to offer guests even more delicious options starting Thursday, December 14.  That’s when the expanded menu will include several new options.

The irresistible smoked chicken wings glisten with a sticky, amber glaze, beckoning appetites closer with a smoky, sweet aroma. Subtle, wood-infused flavors mingle with notes of tangy barbecue sauce, each wing bursting with the perfect marriage of savory and sweet with a hint of heat.

Appetites whetted by wings will love the perfectly prepared smoked half-chickens.  Patient smoking produces beautiful fall-off-the-bone meat that reveals a profound smokiness, echoing the chicken’s long, leisurely relationship with fire and smoke.  Subtle spices allow the pure, wood-kissed taste of the chicken itself to shine as the star of this show-stopping plate.

Not to be outdone by chicken, the new bites of pork belly, lacquered in a savory glaze, make a dramatic entrance from the smoker. As knives slice into the dappled mahogany and ivory layers, juices weep eagerly over crisped edges that audibly crunch under eager forks.  That first revelatory bite unleashes a rich flood of render and spice accented by subtle fruity notes from the glaze’s dark amber nectar. Tooth glides through tissues of fat, each lovingly infused kiss of smoke fading into gentle clouds of meat that inhabit truly rarefied heights of succulence.

In addition, Loop 9 is launching two new sandwiches, a Prime Brisket Philly – their take on a classic Philly sandwich, BBQ style – and a pulled chicken sandwich as well as all new sauces, “Smoke” and “Fire.”
