
2024 is just around the corner and Margaret’s, the signature three-meal restaurant at the JW Marriott Dallas Arts District, is preparing to send guests off into the new year with a fabulous feast and to help them welcome the first of the year with a revitalizing, satisfying brunch.
The restaurant will serve a luxe New Year’s Eve dinner during two seatings on Sunday, December 31 in addition to the King Crab Experience served throughout December.
Margaret’s 10 LB Alaskan King Crab Experience is available through December 31 and must be reserved 3 days in advance via OpenTable. Chef Jonah Friedmann will present a live 10-pound Alaskan King Crab tableside before preparing it a la minute. The crab will be served cold, presented on the half-shell with a variety of accompaniments including house-made cocktail sauce, marie rose sauce, charred lemon, assorted hot sauces and warmly drawn butter. The experience is served to a minimum of four guests at $250 per person.

The 5:00-6:30 PM “pre-theatre” menu includes the following three-course dinner for $115 per guest and concludes in time to attend New Year’s Eve with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra at the Meyerson blocks away from the hotel:
- Bread Service: Foie stuffed canelé finished with Grand Marnier caramel and cinnamon
- Amuse: Chestnut tart topped with parmesan cheese two ways
- 1st course: Potato Vichyssoise with Périgord black truffle, crispy potato crumbs and smoked oil
- 2nd course, a choice of Dry-aged bone-in filet or pan seared Sea Bass both served with royal caviar, rutabaga pureé, confit turnips, brown butter cauliflower pureé and finished with golden sauce
- 3rd course: Key lime crème brûlée
The 7:00-10:00 PM service includes 5 courses for $175 per guest:
- Bread Service: Foie stuffed canelé finished with Grand Marnier caramel and cinnamon
- Amuse: Chestnut tart topped with parmesan cheese two ways
- 1st course: Crab and burrata with blood orange poached beets, Verjus compressed basil seeds, red watercress, charred citrus and vol au vent
- 2nd course: Potato Vichyssoise with Périgord black truffle, crispy potato crumbs and smoked oil
- 3rd course: Wagyu beef raviolo served with Nantucket scallops on a delicate parmesan mousse and topped with smoked garlic chips and white truffle
- 4th course, a choice of:
- Dry-aged bone-in filet served with royal caviar, rutabaga pureé, confit turnips, brown butter cauliflower pureé and finished with golden sauce
- John Dory en Croute, the delicate white fish with savory crust finished with bouillabaisse and red mustard
- 5th course: Key lime crème brûlée and “Around the World on NYE,” a variety of small desserts inspired by the New Year celebrations of other cultures around the world.=
The first (Mon)day of the year calls for a revitalizing brunch served with gorgeous views of the Arts District from Margaret’s floor-to-ceiling windows. In addition to the restaurant’s existing brunch menu, guests may enjoy Caviar Service complete with caviar bumps served on ceramic fists and mother-of-pearl spoons, a mimosa trolley and tableside Bloody Mary service.
