Anchor Sushi Bar, the sushi concept from Vandelay Hospitality Group, proudly announces Chef Kesao Otake joining the team as Lead Sushi Chef for both the Preston Hollow and Knox locations.
Chef Otake brings with him an impressive culinary background, having honed his skills across renowned kitchens in California, Moscow, China, France, and Japan. His journey includes a notable tenure at the Michelin-starred Nozawa Bar in Beverly Hills, where he refined his craft under the guidance of esteemed mentors.
With extensive experience in both Japanese and French culinary traditions, Chef Otake has held managing positions at distinguished restaurants, including training at Senderens, a prestigious two-star Michelin restaurant in Paris. Most recently, he showcased his talent and expertise as the Leading Sushi Chef at the award-winning Sushi Sake in Richardson.
One of Chef Otake’s commitments to excellence lies in sourcing the freshest seafood, which he accomplishes by ordering directly from Tokyo on a weekly basis. This dedication ensures that Anchor Sushi Bar’s menu consistently offers the highest quality and freshness of sushi to its guests.
