Fred’s Texas Cafe Announces First Location Outside of Fort Worth; Celebrates 46th Birthday

Fred’s Texas Cafe, an iconic Fort Worth restaurant, officially announced today the signing of a new 4,800 sq ft restaurant building lease set in the heart of downtown Crowley, Texas, on the corner of Texas St. and Main St. opening late spring 2025. This exciting move, coinciding with the eatery’s 46th birthday celebration in July, marks a significant milestone in Fred’s journey.

The Crowley location will be the first to venture beyond Fort Worth city limits since its humble beginnings on Currie St. in 1978. This is just the beginning of a larger growth plan as the iconic restaurant aims to introduce burger enthusiasts to Fred’s flavors in North Texans and beyond. The Fred’s team is thrilled to bring their signature style of cowboy cuisine, a wide array of burger offerings, bold Texas flavors, and ice-cold beer on tap to new neighbors and it’s been working hand in hand with the great city of Crowley to make the new establishment a reality.

“We are excited to announce the newest addition to Main Street in Crowley – Fred’s Texas Cafe. Known for its award-winning cuisine and ice-cold drinks, Fred’s is set to become a beloved spot for families and visitors alike. Expressed Crowley Mayor Billy Davis. “We look forward to forging a strong and lasting relationship with Fred’s as they become integral to the new Crowley Main Street.”

Quincy Wallace Stands In Front of What Will Be the New Fred’s Location.

When asked about the expansion plans, Fred’s Texas Cafe co-owner and Operating Partner Quincy Wallace expressed, “We’re not just opening a new location; we’re becoming a part of a new community. As we sign this new lease, we’re grateful to be working alongside the great folks leading the city of Crowley to bring this plan to life! Crowley’s rich community and rapid growth make it the perfect fit for our first location outside of Fort Worth. It’s a city that truly embodies the essence of Texas hospitality and community spirit that Fred’s is all about. We look forward to becoming an integral part of the local community, making new friends, and helping the city prosper.”

Wallace continued, “It has always been in the cards to take the Fred’s Texas Cafe to other Texas neighborhoods and expand beyond the place we love and currently call home. It’s an exciting time, and we’re really looking forward to growing the Fred’s brand in the next few years and sharing the Fred’s style with new diners and friends. I always tell our patrons, tell me where you want us or where we need to be, and we’ll find our way there!”
