Since its opening, The Landmark Prime Rib at Warwick Melrose Dallas has always been more than a one-trick pony. With the beautiful vintage carving cart taking center stage inside the restaurant, make no mistake, Prime Rib is the star of the show. However, you don’t have to be a meat-eater to get the meal of a lifetime here.
With triple-digit temperatures now the norm, it’s never been a better time for guests to experience all that Landmark offers beyond prime rib including a special new dish designed just for the season.
The new Orecchiette with Fresh Seasonal Vegetables offers a light yet satisfying alternative to heavier fare. The small, ear-shaped pasta perfectly captures the flavors of crisp, colorful vegetables at their peak freshness. This dish balances texture and taste, with the tender pasta complementing the crunch of summer produce. Its vibrant appearance and garden-fresh ingredients evoke the essence of the season, while providing a cooling, refreshing meal that won’t weigh you down in the heat.
Of course, The Landmark Prime Rib always anticipated a spectrum of hungry palates among Dallas foodies. That’s why Executive Chef Patrick McElroy drew on his extensive seafood background to stack his regular menu with dishes like the one that’s just as popular as the signature Prime Rib: Pan-seared Chilean Seabass with chili dusted patty pans, butternut puree, and gremoulata.
Additional seafood options like Lobster Newberg Pappardelle and Blackened Verlasso Salmon add to the lighter side of the menu.
And for anyone still craving summertime red meat without going all the way into the Prime Rib deep end, the new Centennial Burger is the perfect compromise. This impressive sandwich towers with two thick, juicy beef patties, perfectly grilled to lock in flavor. Layers of melted American cheese and smoky gouda add a complex, creamy richness, while tangy pickled red onions provide a zesty kick. Fresh, peppery arugula, complemented by smoked bacon brings a multi-layered savory smokiness.
All of this is embraced by a specially crafted jalapeno and cheddar brioche bun, toasted to golden perfection. This masterpiece is served alongside crisp dill pickles and a generous portion of golden, crispy fries. From the robust beef to the spicy jalapeno notes in the bun, and the interplay of smoky and fresh elements, the Centennial Burger offers a perfect balance of textures and flavors, promising a truly memorable dining experience that caters to the most discerning burger enthusiasts.
And of course, all of that is to say that Prime Rib can still be the perfect dish no matter what time of year. Air conditioning is a beautiful thing! Just as Landmark set out to make Prime Rib more than just a special occasion meal, something to enjoy anytime, the restaurant is also the perfect choice when you want to try something new.
