What’s in a Name?

Blue Goose Cantina was founded by Bob Peterson and Scott Holyfield, former executives from America’s most colorful airline, Braniff International. This dynamic duo also formed the Aw Shucks brand. With the addition of Blue Goose Cantina, they brought a unique twist to the Tex-Mex scene. The name “Blue Goose” was inspired by a suggestion from Jill Peterson, Bob’s wife, who loved the 1942 movie classic “Casablanca.” In the film, the Blue Parrot was Rick’s main nightlife competition. From this cinematic inspiration, the best Tex-Mex restaurant in Dallas/Fort Worth was born.

Established in 1984, Blue Goose Cantina brings together fantastic made-from-scratch Mexican food, legendary cocktails, top-notch service, a fun atmosphere, and a kick-ass attitude. A division of Peterson Management Group, a family-owned and operated restaurant management company, For more information, including menu and locations, visit BlueGooseCantina.com.
