Urban Italia, a new dining concept led by award-winning Chef Carla Pellegrino, is set to bring a taste of Italy to Dallas’ Victory Park in early 2025. Occupying the former 6,100 square-foot WFAA studio, this new restaurant promises to deliver an authentic Italian dining experience that captures the spirit of the bustling neighborhood.
Chef Pellegrino, who has built a renowned reputation in New York and Las Vegas with acclaimed establishments like Baldoria and Rao’s Las Vegas, will bring her culinary flair and Italian roots to the heart of Dallas. The menu at Urban Italia will feature a carefully curated selection of regional Italian specialties, including handcrafted pizzas, pastas, and Aquerello risottos, all made with the highest quality ingredients.
“I’ve always been interested in Dallas, and now feels like the perfect time to be here,” said Chef Carla Pellegrino. “Texas, and especially Dallas, is becoming a hub for culinary innovation and diversity, attracting attention from all over the country. Urban Italia will be a celebration of both traditional Italian dishes and Italian-American creations. Chef Pellegrino plans to blend the old-world charm of Neapolitan cuisine with the innovative spirit of American-Italian classics, offering something for everyone. The restaurant will feature an open kitchen, allowing guests to witness the culinary magic as pizzas are prepared in a traditional wood-fired oven, imported directly from Naples.

Construction on Urban Italia has begun, with the restaurant set to open its doors in early 2025. The restaurant will open with dinner service, with plans to introduce lunch and brunch within the first few months of operation.
