
Wyl Lima, a culinary talent previously associated with Sister on Greenville Avenue, and Kimberly O’Neal, the seasoned operator of Sister with two decades of experience in the hospitality industry, have come together to launch The Charlotte, a 5,800-square-foot Southern-American restaurant and bar located on Henderson Avenue. Officially opened on September 30, The Charlotte invites guests to savor its offerings daily, beginning at 11 a.m. For those wishing to dine outdoors, the rooftop lounge provides a charming setting to enjoy meals in pleasant weather.
The restaurant’s menu reflects a creative blend of Southern culinary traditions infused with global influences. Patrons can expect a diverse array of dishes designed to intrigue the palate. Highlights include Biryani-spiced wings and jollof rice, alongside a gourmet wagyu hotdog and piri piri chicken. A unique feature is the Charlotte Smashburger, which reinterprets the classic American burger with a delightful combination of caramelized onions, pickles, and jerk aioli. Notably, the menu also offers a distinctive Spaghetti & Catfish, presenting a Southern twist on the traditional spaghetti and meat sauce, crowned with a crispy catfish filet.
