Gas Monkey Icehouse, the latest venture from automotive icon and Dallas-Fort Worth native Richard Rawlings, will officially open on Tuesday, May 6, at 4545 Destination Dr, The Colony, TX 75056, within the vibrant Grandscape development. A bold revival of the legendary Gas Monkey brand, the Icehouse promises a lively spot for great food, cold drinks, and unforgettable good times.
Best known as the founder of Gas Monkey Garage and star of Discovery Channel’s Fast N’ Loud, Rawlings is teaming up with Reach Hospitality—the group behind PieTap, Black Tap, Evelyn, and The Mexican—to bring this concept to life. While Rawlings brings his signature energy and brand vision, Reach contributes its deep hospitality expertise, ensuring top-tier service and culinary execution. Together, they’re setting the stage for Gas Monkey Icehouse to become a premier DFW destination.
The venue spans nearly 13,000 square feet, including a 3,200-square-foot outdoor courtyard. It seats 340 guests, with 220 indoors and 120 outside. The space features two indoor/outdoor bars, a custom neon centerpiece in the courtyard, and an Alamo-inspired façade that proudly reflects Texas roots. Many furnishings were handcrafted by Gas Monkey Garage using reclaimed industrial materials, offering a distinctive, hands-on feel that ties back to Rawlings’ legacy.

The food and drink lineup features crowd-pleasing favorites, including burgers, pizzas, 28 beers on tap, and signature cocktails. Menu highlights include:
- Flying Monkey Wings – Bone-in wings with your choice of buffalo, lemon pepper, whiskey BBQ, honey sriracha, or “Richard’s Way” in Gas Monkey Skidmark Sauce
- Garage Beer Battered Chicken Tenders – Hand-battered in Gas Monkey’s own Garage Beer, served with comeback sauce
- Smash’d Burger – Double smash patties with American cheese, caramelized onions, pickles, jalapeños, and secret sauce
- Garage Pizza – A variety of pies, including The Gorilla with San Marzano sauce, pepperoni, Texas taco meat, bacon, mozzarella, ricotta, and spicy honey
With numerous TVs and VIP spaces for private events, the Icehouse is tailor-made for entertainment. Rawlings will also film content on-site for his YouTube and social media channels, and fans can look forward to pop-up car shows, live events, and special programming throughout the year.
To celebrate the opening, Gas Monkey Icehouse will debut an exclusive merchandise line that fuses the bold attitude of Gas Monkey Garage with Texas pride. From rugged tees and hats to limited-edition collectibles featuring custom graphics, this line will be available only at the venue.
